This is a dream narrative representing both destruction and hope.  Ashes spew from the destroyed grotto to be gathered into the vase, while light leads the mind to travel along the maze to an unknown, but possibly regenerative end.  When I shot the original image, I felt both the darkness and the past in the stone grotto and walls that eventually became the background of the final composition.  Two shots make up the narrative, both taken with a Canon Powershot Pro 1 camera.
